Description
The film is an "excursion through Paris", starting at the present day and then going through the period from the 1880s to 1914. It consists of a montage of paintings (by contemporary arti...sts: Toulouse-Lautrec, Monet, Redon, Picasso etc.) photographs, engravings and posters, together with some archive film, accompanied by the music of Debussy, Satie, Chabrier and Stravinsky and a variety of contemporary quotes and observations.
