Description
Andrew Paton Charles was a soap and candle manufacturer based in east London. He was married to the author Elizabeth Rundle Charles. Mrs Charles wrote over fifty books, most of which were religious in nature. She also wrote and translated several hymns. The couple were married for seventeen years until Andrew Paton Charles' death in 1868. His wife lived until 1896.
