Alison Brown

I lead on B2B (business to business) opportunities to help the faculty grow its income and influence. Throughout my career, I have specialised in operating at interfaces: helping organisations to interact with the outside world, negotiating sustainable partnerships to meet mutual objectives and generate value.

I have worked in various sectors and enjoy the challenge of learning the unwritten rules of a new culture. I spent a fascinating decade in central government (BEIS, DIT & DfE), where highlights including delivering business events at the London Olympics; and filling the plane with CEOs to do deals during the Prime Minister's overseas trips. I have also worked for the Big 4 in the City of London, and several red brick universities. Early in my career, I spread my wings in Asia for a few years, working for a US law firm in Tokyo and in the education sector in China.
