Research interests

Zahra's main research interests focus upon exploiting ultra-thin film deposition from fundamental sciences and the development of new functional materials, through to process development and innovation. She also has a strong interest in exploiting thin films in a range of applications including anti-microbial coatings for bio-medical implants, microelectronics and photovoltaics. Zahra has expertise in a range of advanced materials characterisation techniques including physio-chemical, optical and electronic methods.
