Research-informed teaching

Our teaching is inspired by the internationally excellent and world-leading research being conducted at the OU.

The results of the Research Excellence Framework 2014 show our research is both world-leading and has impact in the real world, informing our teaching and our knowledge exchange with academic and non-academic partners and the public.

The OU is at the forefront of research into learning technologies which has resulted in award-winning teaching and learning facilities and tools to analyse and improve learning, many of which directly benefit our students. Examples are:
