Join Voluntary Health Scotland and The Open University (OU) for the first in series of joint online events exploring ageing, health and wellbeing.

Dr Jitka VseteckovaLed by Dr Jitka Vseteckova, OU Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Wellbeing, Education & Language Studies, with input from Maureen O’Neill, Director of Faith in Older People, and Nicola Hanssen, CEO of Roar - Connections for Life. 

In this series we are exploring how important it is, over our lifespan, to maintain a well-balanced nutrition and hydration as well as regular physical and social activity in the older age, also known as the ‘Five Pillars of Ageing Well’.

This talk will cover basic biomedical and psycho-social aspects of ageing,  age-related conditions e.g. bone health, frailty etc. What will the impact of Covid-19 be for ageing well?
