At The Heart Of The Nation: India In Britain

The Open University in Scotland, with the University of Exeter, Nehru Centre and Indian High Commission, is launching this UK-wide outdoor exhibition in Edinburgh to coincide with the 70th anniversary of India's Independence.

It is a series of historic and contemporary photographs showing Indians' contributions to Britain, including a number from Scotland. The exhibition will look to celebrate the historic Indian presence here and show how this has critically shaped our city and our country. This will tour until December 2017 and will be showcased around the United Kingdom.

The exhibition is free and open to the public and runs from Sunday, 17 September until Sunday, 1 October at the Mound Precinct in Edinburgh.
