E-scooter Signs on Walton Hall Campus

No e-scooters allowed sign

If you haven’t already seen on WH campus, we have installed some signs at some of the entrances/exits showing that e-scooters are not allowed on site. This includes private and rented e-scooters. Specific sign image to the right.

Cycling Santas CMK Ride - 15 December 2022 (Walton Hall)

Cycling Santas CMK Ride

The ride will set off at 6pm up Midsummer Boulevard to Campbell Park, around the Light Pyramid and back, entertaining Christmas shoppers along the way. This is following free Dr Bike services from Cycle Saviours 4-5pm and a Wheelie contest for a £50 prize.

New bus service running through campus – 9/9a (Walton Hall)

We are delighted to announce that the OU has managed to negotiate with Arriva a new bus service – 9/9a. This service will start running from Monday 31st October.

Reminder: F70 and F77 bus services are not stopping through campus

This is a reminder for anyone using or planning to use the F70 and F77 bus services, that this service is not currently stopping through campus. It is stopping on V10 Brickhill Street due to roadworks on H9 Groveway.

Green Accreditation for Modeshift STARS

Green Accreditation - STARS Survey

Modeshift STARS is a national accreditation awarded to businesses and organisations that go above and beyond in developing, implementing, and monitoring an Effective Travel Strategy. This should change travel behaviour and reduce the number of single occupancy vehicle journeys to and from sites.

Unfortunately the University does not and cannot influence commercial decisions being taken by bus service companies to discontinue services based on patronage.

Construction of New Roundabout: Phase 2 (03 May to December 2022)

From Tuesday 03 May the Construction of a new roundabout on H9 Groveway will be starting, to carry out the construction phase safely it will be necessary to close this section of the H9 Groveway until the scheme is completed in December 2022, this includes the diversion of six major power supply cables by Western Power Distribution which is being coordinated into the scheme.
