Cambridge Muslim College

Cambridge Muslim college

Established in 2009, Cambridge Muslim College is a unique institution dedicated to supporting authentic scholarship and addressing the challenges relevant to the modern world. Its method is to provide world-class education, training and research through a genuine dialogue between the rich intellectual heritage of Islamic civilisation and the very best of modern Western thought and practice.

Independent of any political or sectarian affiliation, the College works with all who share its mission. It is directed by Abdal Hakim Murad (T.J. Winter), Shaykh Zayed Lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge University.

The College teaches a one-year Diploma in Contextual Islamic Studies & Leadership which allows men and women who are already classically trained in the Islamic sciences to articulate and apply their knowledge effectively in Britain today. In 2017 it launched a three-year BA (Hons) in Islamic Studies which offers students of all backgrounds the chance to study Arabic, Islamic sciences and the British context together as an integrated whole for the first time. This programme is validated by The Open University.
