OU features in Al Arabiya News as world leader in online distance education

Graduates waiting to go on stage

The OU’s capability in meeting the challenge of distance learning in the COVID-19 age is highlighted in a news item by Professor Agnes Kukulska-Hulme, Professor of Learning Technology & Communication (Institute of Educational Technology) in Al Arabiya News.

The article, which makes reference to a recently launched ‘Innovating Pedagogy’ report that looks at new ways of teaching, learning and assessment and introduces ten innovative pedagogies that either already influence educational practice or offer opportunities for the future, acknowledges OU’s successful partnership with the Arab Open University (AOU) since 2002.

OU’s successful validation partnerships provision has been consistently highlighted and recognised in Universities UK reports, and recently in the Transnational Online Higher Education report by Universities UK International (UUKi), which features a case study on the AOU.
