Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards

The Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards will return on 21st March 2024 and organisers, Milton Keynes Business Leaders Partnership, have announced that the theme for the event will be ‘Forever Innovative: Milton Keynes Leading the UK’s high-tech future’.

From its beginning in 1969, The Open University (OU) has grown alongside the city of Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes is leading the way in many areas, in particular technology and innovation. We want to celebrate the successes of the forward thinking and ambitious business community, which reflects all backgrounds and talents.

The Open University’s innovative form of supported distance learning has evolved over the years, first utilising BBC television broadcasting, postal home experiments and more recently, online learning. With just under 80 employers located in Milton Keynes have sponsored staff on OU courses, including DHL, Milton Keynes University Hospital, Network Rail and Milton Keynes City Council. The OU also has a longstanding partnership with Milton Keynes College and makes a huge societal impact through its collaborative research.
