I have an Msc. in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, UK and a Bsc. in Environmental Sciences from Makerere University in Uganda. During undergraduate, I carried out empirical research in Uganda about the vulnerability assessment of small-holder farmers to drought. Looking at Vulnerability assessment in the form of exposure, sensitivity and adaptive capacity. For the MSc. I carried out further drought empirical research focusing on how small holder farmers adapt to droughts. I grouped the adaptation mechanisms in the form of sustainable adaptation, transformational adaptation and mal-adaptation strategies. I am currently undertaking a PHD and my research is focusing on the role of community engagement in influencing social resilience to flooding, with a special interest in groundwater flooding under the Project Groundwater. Project Groundwater is one of the twenty five (25) Flood and Coastal Resilience Innovation Programmes (FCRIP) funded by DEFRA (UK) and led by the councils in the UK. Project Groundwater is led by the Buckinghamshire Council.
