Ruth Cammies

Professional biography

I am the University Archivist, based in Library Services within LDS. I manage the delivery of the University Archive Service and the OU Digital Archive. I provide advice and guidance on preserving physical and digital archive materials. I am particularly interested in preserving audio-visual archive materials and web archiving.

I started working at the OU in 2003, the same year I gained my Master’s qualification in Archives and Records Management from University College London. In 2013 I gained a post-master’s certificate in Digital Stewardship from Simmons College (Boston, USA). I am also a registered member of the Archives and Records Association.
