Profile summary

Professional biography

I qualified as a Social Worker in 1998 and have worked continuously in Adult Services since then, first with Oxfordshire Social Services and since 2003 with the City and County of Swansea. I am an advocate of relationship-based Social Work and believe that the manner in which Social Workers practice is of vital importance to those with whom they are working.

I have worked with members of the Service User and Carer group attached to the Social Work Degree in Wales since joining the OU and in 2018 we published our first paper detailing our research into the effectiveness of Service User and Carer feedback for students studying on the Social Work Degree.
