The Open University has participated in Culture Night Dublin for several years hosting extremely popular evenings of poetry, prose and open-mic sessions with renowned Irish poets and Open University tutors Nessa O’Mahony & Siobhan Campbell in the Winding Stair Bookshop on Ormond Quay. This year as the night steps online, we will be hosting a twitter open mic session for budding creative writers.
Commemorating the past in 2016, The Open University hosted Creative Writing Workshops with renowned Irish poet and Open University tutor Nessa O’Mahony in the stunning locations of Castletown House, Co. Kildare and Lissadell House, Co. Sligo.
These hugely enjoyable and informative workshops help attendees to discover ways to kick-start writing projects, shape stories, memoirs or poetry and research the past.
We plan to continue hosting Creative Writing Workshops in Historic Houses around Ireland. Details of confirmed events will be published on our events page.
We currently participate in a range of Career and Graduate Fairs in Ireland. These are a great opportunity for people to find out about studying with The Open University.
