Professional biography

Currently I am a staff tutor in Environment, Earth and Ecosystem Sciences. I am home-based, living in Northern Ireland. I am also the Students Support Team Lead for the school and an Associate Lecturer currently teaching Y033, Science, technology and maths Access module.

Research interests

My research interests lie in Educational research. I have undertaken a number of scholarship projects within the Open University and funded by eSTEeM. The current one is examining the effectiveness of RADAR diagrams as a means of assessing employability skills development on S112, an introductory Science module. 

Teaching interests

My background is in chemistry, however I have worked as an Associate Lecturer for the OU for over 27 years. The modules have I taught on have  included Access, Level 1 Science and Environment, Level 2 Chemistry and Environmental Science and level 3 Environment. Currently I'm  a staff tutor on S111, S112, S309, S397, SXG390. I'm also still an AL on  Y033, Science, technology and maths Access module.
