Join us for a special event where we meet the academics involved and BBC producers who worked on the amazing BBC / Open University series Frozen Planet 2.

Legendary nature historian and OU honorary graduate, Sir David Attenborough, narrates the highly anticipated Frozen Planet 2 in a stunning new series co-produced by the BBC and The Open University.

Filmed in exquisite ultra-high-definition and filled with characterful wildlife dramas and epic landscapes, Frozen Planet 2 is a chance to experience the wonder of least-explored wildernesses.

This event will be hosted by Julia Cooke, OU Media Fellow, as she talks to Dr Miranda Dyson, Dr Kadmiel Maseyk, and Professor Mark Brandon from the OU, who all supported the production of the show by acting as academic consultants, providing expertise and insight into the latest research. Join us as they share insight on their work for the series and how global warming is impacting the frozen worlds.

BBC series producer Elizabeth White and Usha Amin, Assistant Producer, will also join the panel to share an insight into how the series was filmed, the inspiration behind the series, the challenges of location working and the joy of working with Sir David Attenborough.

Book your place at this free event via the Eventbrite page for Frozen Planet 2: Behind the Scenes

This event will be run by the OU's Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
