Living Life In The Slow Lane
The Open University in Scotland is delighted to be supporting the Cove and Kilcreggan Book Festival 2019.
Award-winning Times columnist Melanie Reid was a keen horsewoman before breaking her neck in a fall 9 years ago.
In hew book The World I Fell Out Of, she details, with often mordant wit, her experiences in a spinal unit, and the years beyond as she came to terms with being tetraplegic and travelling in a wheelchair.
Her Spinal Column appears in The Times every Saturday.
This event will be chaired by broadcaster, journalist and OU honorary graduate, Ruth Wishart.
