Skills for Community Councils

Community councillors in Scotland can access a unique portal of free online OU courses.

The bespoke Skills Support for Community Councils portal includes collections on digital skills, business skills, finance and fundraising, and community and society. 

The portal was developed in partnership with the Improvement Service and community councils across Scotland. 

I'm a relatively new Community Councillor. I've begun working my way through the OU courses and am finding them excellent - I am currently doing the legal skills one. The courses are concise and easy to use, I am hoping to complete all of them. I have to add, they're inspiring me to go back to university too!
