To celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Open University (OU) / BBC series, Wild Isles, the OU is inviting you to share your favourite British and Irish nature spots or species on social media, using the hashtag #ShareYourWildIsles.

Simply head to The OU’s social channels and share your photo to get involved.

If you’re on Twitter, tweet @OpenUniversity your picture using our dedicated hashtag, and you can also use this hashtag if you’re posting on Instagram. To join in on Facebook and LinkedIn, simply comment with your picture on one of our #ShareYourWildIsles posts which you’ll see regularly over the next five weeks.

Our favourite images will be hosted in a special gallery on our Broadcast and Partnerships site, OU Connect, where you can find resources and information on topics related to this series, including an interactive map exploring our wild isles and their diverse species and habitats.

The University has also produced a poster, that is available for free, that explores our wild isles and their diverse species and habitats. Order your copy online or by calling 0300 303 0265. (NB: this site may not be live or complete prior to broadcast)

The Open University (OU) and BBC co-production will began on BBC One and iPlayer at 7pm on Sunday 12th March, informed by the expertise of OU academics Dr Philip Wheeler and Dr Miranda Dyson.
