The Open degree allows students to study modules from across the University in a range of different subject areas to create a personalised qualification that matches their career aspirations and/or... personal interests. In this session Peter Taylor and Helen Cooke will discuss how such a breadth of study can equip you with a wide range of expertise, skills and capabilities that are much sought after in today’s highly competitive job market. They will explain the structure of an Open degree, discuss what it feels like to be a student studying across more than one subject and provide some examples of how students have tailored their study of the Open degree. They will also introduce a range of different support materials to help you choose your modules and explain your Open degree to potential or current employers.
