Changing Attitudes to Ageing

Dates
Monday, April 8, 2024 - 13:30 to 16:00
Location
Omagh Library

Join us for an insightful event focused on Changing Attitudes to Ageing in Fermanagh and Omagh.

Commissioner for Older People NI (COPNI), The Open University Ireland (OU), and Libraries NI are joining forces to advocate for a proactive approach to ageing while honoring the valuable contributions of older individuals in our communities.

The Commissioner for Older People will briefly discuss the importance of maintaining a positive attitude towards ageing. Following this, attendees will have the chance to engage directly with Commissioner Eddie Lynch and Dr. Sinead Eccles over tea and coffee.

Dr. Sinéad Eccles will share practical tips on integrating simple habits into daily routines to promote long-term health, strength, mental sharpness, and independence.

Throughout the event, we'll emphasize the significance of reading for brain health and happiness, highlighting the library as an excellent resource for promoting positive change.

Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights and participate in meaningful discussions. For more information and to register your interest, please contact Omagh Library at 028 8244 0733 or email omagh.library@librariesni.org.uk.
