Overview
In this introductory session we will explain the use of qualitative methods to inform the scholarship of teaching and learning. We’ll focus specifically on the analysis and presentation of qualitative data, drawing upon examples from eSTEeM projects as well as the qualitative research literature. This session will involve a mix of presentation and discussion.

- To understand the underlying principles of qualitative research
- To understand some of the methods for analysing qualitative data
- To understand some of the methods for presenting qualitative data

About the facilitators
Trevor Collins and Mark Jones are the Directors of eSTEeM and have extensive backgrounds in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
