Research Excellence Award

We are please to announce that The Centre for Policing Research and Learning has been shortlisted for the Open University Research Excellence award

The Research Excellence Awards 2019 have some new and exciting categories, with a one-off category this year to celebrate The Open University's 50th Anniversary. Additionally, we have further expanded our categories to include academic-related staff who support our fantastic research, because we all know this is a team effort and excellent research support only enhances our research endeavours further.

Open University Professor Jean Hartley received this year’s Medal for Research from the British Academy of Management (BAM) at its annual conference in Birmingham today (Tuesday 3 September). This was awarded for ‘sustained, original contributions to management research by a BAM member’.

The Open University’s Centre for Police Research and Learning (CPRL) project team, working with their partners at MOPAC and survey specialists IFF, launched their planned second survey to look at the state of Learning and Development across police forces and agencies in England and Wales on Monday 25th June 2019
