Can a multi-agency redesign of the response to reports of missing young persons prevent repeat demand? A scoping review of the evidence

The Demand Reduction project has got off to a highly successful start with the first report of findings now published.

The work was completed by Emma Bilsdon, Inspector at Hertfordshire Constabulary, who joined CPRL as a Senior Practitioner Fellow in January this year.  She has worked with Dr Paul Walley to compete a scoping review of the evidence base around demand from missing young people in care.

The report is entitled “Can a multi-agency redesign of the response to reports of missing young persons prevent repeat demand?  A scoping review of the evidence.” Work is now continuing with a large examination of missing persons data in Hertfordshire.  All local stakeholders are being engaged in this work.
