Speakers in this seminar will chart the pressures on this workforce, including their higher risks of death and whether collective responses to Covid-19 addressed the specific risks they face. They draw out the policy issues and lessons from their research. The session is held jointly with their project partner, Public Services International.

Professor Nicola Yeates is Chair of Social Policy in the Department of Social Policy and Criminology at The Open University. Dr. Jane Pillinger is an Independent Social Researcher (France) and Visiting Fellow in Social Policy at The Open University. Sarah Tipping is an Independent Social Researcher (UK). Genevieve Gencianos is Migration Programme Officer at Public Services International (France).
