AgroEcos conference now available to view again

3 May 2022

The Open University’s AgroEcos project has investigated the agroecology-based solidarity economy in South America since 2020.  Its conference was held online on 15 March 2022.  The Principal Investigator, Dr Les Levidow, presented the analytical framework of social proximities which underlie solidaristic short supply chains (circuitos cortos).  This illuminates how collective capacities enabled agroecological initiatives to make creative adaptations during the Covid-19 pandemic (see English-language article).  The programme included presentations by the three partners who had been carrying out participatory action research with community partners. Also three expert commentaries on the results.  The project has been funded by the GCRF-AHRC programme.
