How Did Migrant Health Care Workers Fare During Covid-19?

Professor Nicola Yeates was joined Dr Jane Pillinger, a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Social Policy and Criminology, and an independent social researcher; Sarah Tipping, an independent social researcher and social statistician and Genevieve Gencianos who is Migration Programme Officer at Public Services International.

Speakers charted the pressure on this workforce, including their higher risks of death and whether collective responses to Covid-19 addressed the specific risks they faced. The draw out the policy issues and lessons from their research. The session was jontly held with their project partner, Public Service International.
