Presenting your research effectively is a big problem.  You might be conducting some research, analysing your data or writing it up BUT effectively presenting the ‘wow’ factor of that research for different people is hard work.  Unfortunately if you avoid dealing with this problem it makes publishing very hard.  What this session will give you here is a quick, simple intro to finding the ‘wow’ in your research and how to present that.

During our teaching and learning research we have to communicate our research to a wide range of people for different purposes.  For everyone at all levels of experience this continues to be a stumbling block, which this session will help you overcome.

In this session we will cover these areas, and more:
  • top-tips on presenting research at the different stages in its development
  • initiate discussions around different forums for disseminating your research within and outside the OU
  • Facilitate a discussion around problems and potential solutions encountered in developing those presentations.
Outcomes
This workshop will support any project leader whether at the beginning or end of their research.

Tea and coffee will be provided.  Please confirm your attendance by emailing your details to Gail Vardy at esteem@open.ac.uk by Thursday 28th June 2012.
