eSTEeM gets engaged

23rd March 2012

In October 2011, eSTEeM launched a call for projects within the strategically important area of STEM engagement. The call invited proposals concerning the scholarship associated with STEM engagement with different user communities and their interactions with the university.

Richard Holliman and Clem Herman, eSTEeM Coordinators for the Engagement Special Interest Group, said “we are delighted that public engagement is gaining greater recognition at the Open University and across the HE sector. The eSTEeM projects that we’ve announced today are part of this changing context. The project leaders all have established track records in engaging publics with aspects of academic research and scholarship, and will be engaging with diverse publics in their new projects. Working within eSTEeM will provide additional support and resources, alongside opportunities to share expertise and experiences. We wish them every success in achieving their objectives.”
