Group tuition project scoops best poster prize

20th April 2016

Delegates at this year's eSTEeM Annual Conference which took place on the 14-15 April were invited to vote for the best poster. Attended by over 120 OU and external colleagues over 2 days, the theme of this year's conference was lifelong learning in the digital age. The competition was extremely high with an excellent selection of posters showcasing the innovations in scholarship across the STEM Faculty and beyond.

The votes were counted and verified and the winning poster was by Ann Walshe, Anne Campbell, Anne-Marie Gallen and Mark Jones entitled 'Associate Lecturer perspectives on supporting students through tuition in groups'.

Ann Walshe, Anne-Marie Gallen and Anne Campbell with their winning posterJoint project leader Ann Walshe (Staff Tutor, Computing and Communications Dept.) commented “We were delighted our poster was voted the best. The conference was fun and inspiring and we came away with many great ideas. The fantastic support of eSTEeM enables us to engage in valuable scholarship that will have positive impact across the University. Thank you eSTEeM!”

The winning team received a book voucher, £30 of which has been donated to OUSET, the student charity run by OUSA to help financially disadvantaged students in the University.
