The aim of this project is to investigate factors contributing to the retention and awarding gaps observed for black students (and other minority ethnic groups) on LHCS modules, with a focus on assessment design and module assessment strategy.
This project will investigate the impact on student performance and module results of engagement with specific question types in formative assessment and with resources designed to support skills development. Specifically, we will analyse if:
Credit transfer students are often regarded as having the potential to succeed in distance learning.
