Common Virtual Campus Issues

Issue: The student is locked out after entering their password incorrectly/closing the browser without logging out.

Solution: Automatic lockout is a security setting. It will reset after one hour of inactivity. Resetting the student's password will not allow the student access as thier account is locked.

Issue: The student has tried logging in but their password does not work.

Solution: Students must only use their OU Computer Username (OUCU) to log in, please check that they are not using their PI or prison number. The log in is case specific, please ensure that the correct characters are being entered.

Commonly mistaken characters are: Uppercase letter 'O' and number '0', lowercase letter 'L' and number '1', lowercase letter 'L' and uppercase letter 'i'. Changing the font on the log in spreadsheet may help to determine which characters are being used.

Issue: Videos/audio/activities do not work.

Solution: Please check that the browser being used is up to date and that javascript is enabled. The way websites display can be affected by the browser and javascript settings. Please speak to your IT support if you are unsure.
