Jodie Bowman

Jodie is a Senior Microwave Engineer within the Electronics Division of Leonardo UK Ltd (LUK), providing production support in the Surveillance & Protection Technology line of business. 

Her pathway into this role has been far from linear, taking her through A-levels, secretarial college and jobs in the film, concrete and mining industries before the turning point when she started a BSc Natural Sciences (Physics) with the Open University.  During her final year of study, she secured a student placement at LUK in the Microwave Engineering department through the OU Physics careers support team and has been there ever since.

Six years later, she still looks forward to going in to work every day, motivated by the variety of ever-changing challenges and complex problem solving opportunities that are inherent in an aerospace defence engineering role.
