Teaching

The School is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications dealing with Engineering, Design, Systems Thinking, Environmental Management and Technology Management several of which are accredited by professional bodies. These qualifications reflect the broad research and scholarship expertise of our staff and also the professional and vocational requirements of our students and their employers. Within these qualifications we are responsible for developing and running 15 undergraduate and 10 taught postgraduate modules, many of which contribute to other qualifications offered by The Open University such as the unique Open qualifications and the BSc (Honours) Combined STEM. These modules are supported by curriculum management staff and by a large group of part-time associate lecturer staff based around the UK and Ireland.

Further details about each of these subjects, including constituent modules and free courses on OpenLearn can be found by following the links

Undergraduate study - we manage or contribute modules to three sets of nested undergraduate qualifications

Postgraduate study - we manage four sets of nested postgraduate qualifications

We have contributed to a large number of free courses and other educational resources available on OpenLearn, and have also developed free courses and educational resources on OpenLearn Create for international development projects such as OpenWASH.
