Environmental Management

We are partly responsible for two undergraduate qualifications and fully responsible for one nested set of postgraduate qualifications.

Undergraduate qualifications

These courses are for people who are looking to further their understanding of the factors involved in managing our environment whether for personal or professional (career) reasons. Students come from a wide range of backgrounds and are in employment. They are seeking career changes or career development.

The BSc (Hons) is accredited by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.

As part of these courses we have prime responsibility for certain modules that can be taken as standalone modules for interest or continuing professional development for those with adequate prior knowledge and experience:

Both the PG Diploma and MSc are accredited by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, the leading international Royal Chartered professional body dedicated to the water and environment sector and also by the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment, a worldwide membership body for environment and sustainability professionals.

We actively contribute to The Open University’s provision of open educational resources through OpenLearn and other open media channels. We have provided many study units and rich media assets derived from current and discontinued modules with others arising from our research and scholarship work. These can usually be found under the Nature and Environment section of OpenLearn but we list some of them below.
