Description
In this programme, Roger Dale, Lecturer in Educational Studies at the Open University, presents extracts from an interview with the American sociologist, Professor Howard S. Becker, whose work on s...tudent culture is developed as a major theme in the correspondence text. In the interview extracts, Becker talks about the source and effects of student culture. He explains his theoretical work in this area and goes on to suggest some applications of the concept to pupils in school.
