Description
Arts Review '89: Courses in Production looks at some broader issues raised by the Arts Courses currently in production. By examining the use of the GPO's 'Nightmail' in A319/TV4 'Crossing the Borde...r', Angus Calder and Betty Talks discuss various problems faced in the production process, and consider the place of this programme in the course as a whole. Donald Burrows and Pat Howard also tackle the problem of presenting what is basically an aural medium in visual terms, in the new music course A214, with particular reference to Pat's television programme examining the relationship between words and music.
