This is the first of two programmes in which the student is encouraged to listen attentively to music and helped to train his own ear. This programme concentrates on two subjects: 1. Colour - learn...ing to distinguish the colours of instruments alone and in combinations. 2. Chords and textures - learning to distinguish the seperate notes in a chord and the separate lines in a piece of music and to appreciate musical textures.
