Description
The programme has the aim of introducing students to Flander's method of analysis of interactions "between teacher and pupil. This form of Flanders Interaction Category Analysis as expanded in... the programme is one of the simplest, where interactions are assigned to one of ten categories every three seconds. (Other forms of Flanders Analysis involve a far greater number of categories)• Extracts from geometry and chemistry lessons in a secondary school are subject to the analysis, first by the programme presenter in separated three-second intervals and later in continuous extracts for students to code themselves. It is essential for the student to be well—prepared for this programme, with category analysis sheets ready to mark as directed in the accompanying broadcast notes.
