Description
Every year thousands or 18 year olds take 'A' Level examinations Their future may well depend of the results. But how are those results arrived at? Shortly after the examination takes place the ex...aminers meet to hammer out a common approach to marketing, in this programme we hear part of one such meeting. The examiners are assessing answers to 'A' Level English, in this case responses to an unseen poem, Seamus Heaney's "An Advancement of Learning". Victor Lee, as the Chairman of the meeting and the academic presenter of the programme, shows how papers are assessed, what criteria are used, and how the group-dynamics affect decision making.
