An answer could be, that accumulation of words, together with the description of their meanings and the way they're used, that is contained in dictionaries, and in par...ticular the Oxford English Dictionary, the largest dictionary of English and which is widely regarded as the most authoritative .This programme examines the work of lexicographers, in particular to see if what they do, and what they know about language, has any connection with the various theories about language which have been encountered in the E263 Course.
