Description
All children in Britain now come under the responsibility of the Department of Education for their schooling. But in Northern Ireland the education of disabled children is the responsibility of the... DHSS. This programme explores the consequences of this, through the eyes of the parents of disabled children, the Principal of a special school, and a senior DHSS official. The question is posed: would the education of disabled children be better if the DES took over responsibility?
