Description
In this programme Dr. Victor J Lee of The Open University talks to Professor Harold Rosen of the London Institute of Education regarding some of the issues surrounding Black English. It includes in...serts supplied by ILEA. of cassette material of Chelsea Herbert's In The Melting Pot The thrust of the programme is two-fold. Firstly, to discuss the relevance to the British scene of some of the issues raised in the two 'American' programmes about The Black English Case (TV4 and Radio 5). Secondly, to discuss issues important to the British context which were not brought up in the two programmes on Black English in America.
