Description
In this programme Elaine Brown of the Course Team, works with a group of five-year-old children from Simpson County Combined School, Bletchley. The children are involved in activities that will dev...elop their association between sounds and letters through the use of word banks. In the first activity recognition of individual words is encouraged through their classification according to meaning; in the second to some aspect of their spelling; in the third by a combination of change in meaning and spelling. Students of the course are asked to identify the skills needed to store words and to retrieve them.
