Description
This programme looks at four women inventors and their trials and tribulations as they work in a world that is traditionally associated with men. Carol Ainge describes her safety matchbox and recip...e for a fat-free cake. Dawna Henson relates her story of wool mattresses and how she now runs a company that makes them. Brenda Keen recalls how she first had the idea for a cheap way to stop the red-eye effect you get with amateur flash photography, and finally we find our about Cynthia Killick who invented a new kind of recording stylus in the 1940s.
