Description
Measure For Measure is a play which has many critics coming "to completely opposite conclusions about Shakespeare's intentions and the play's meaning. In this programme Harriet Hawkins argues ...that it is not the resolutions offered by the play that are most important but the 'open questions posed along the way' - questions about 'sex, morality, psychology and society'. She asks what if any, final conclusions Shakespeare wanted us to arrive at?
