Description
Recently a wide range of people from the Pope to Bono have called for the cancellation of Third World Debt. They have become part of a remarkable campaign called Jubilee 2000 which calls on the lea...ders of the world's richest countries to make a once-off cancellation of what they claim is unpayable debt. It is claimed that cancelling the debt is the only way to give millions of people a better future - a life worth living. This programme digs behind these assertions and asks whether this is really the best way to tackle world poverty.
