Description
Philip Dodd chairs a discussion between Terry Farrell, Norman Foster, Nicholas Grimshaw, Michael and Patty Hopkins and Richard Rogers recorded 11 March 2014 at RIBA. These architects have come toge...ther to share a public platform as part of the Brits Who Built The Modern World Season of events which has included the opening of a new gallery at RIBA, an exhibition at the V and A and a BBC Four TV series. They discuss growing up after World War Two, working for the Architectural Association and in the public sector/ welfare state. The influence of the empire and the Victorians, America, working in Asia, Stanstead, Heathrow and if architects should get to do the interior, how they see London in the future, the importance with infrastructure, the problems with politicians and planning, the future of architecture.
