The virus which causes Covid 19 is continuing to evolve, but into several different closely related strains rather than more new variants such as Delta and Omicron. Gaia ints Ravi Gupta, Prof of C...linical Microbiology at Cambridge Uni. Gaia ints Jeremy Farrar, Director of the Wellcome Trust, about the pandemic prospects over the coming months and how international cooperation has been key to managing this pandemic, but political tensions could threaten this global unity. This week has seen the annual awarding of the Nobel Prizes. Gaia spoke to science journalist Philip Ball about the winners. Royal Society Insight Investment Science Book Prize Shortlist: Gaia asked Henry Gee, author of A Very Short History of Life On Earth, how he could condense some 5 billion years into a relatively brief book.
